When you add content to this site (write an article like this one), you should “file” it under one of the above categories. New stuff can be filed in one or more categories. For a demonstration, I have “filed” this article in all categories. It is important to know, that if you do not pick a category for your stuff, it will be placed in the “Uncategorized” category, which is the “default.”

You can add categories – as many as you like, or delete them. Deleting a category does not delete your content/stuff. It just deletes the category name, and, anything filed in the deleted category will be automatically moved to whatever category you chose, or, to “Uncategorized.”

The main page of this site shows articles/stuff from the six categories above highlighted in red. I selected these six categories at random – they can be any category you choose, and can be re-positioned anywhere you like. The idea is to display content from your “hottest.”
